    10. Arrowhead Game Studios is not holding back as they are determined to make Helldivers 2 great once again. The first major update for the game, Escalation of Freedom, turned out to be a disaster as players were left extremely disappointed. After its failure, Arrowhead devised a new plan to fix the game in just 60 days. Initially, it seemed impossible but the latest patch confirms that Arrowhead is taking players’ feedback seriously.
The Automaton Assault Walker might be added to Helldivers 2 very soon (Image via IronS1ghts on Reddit) The latest patch improved various weapons and Stratagems, and Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead’s CCO, has confirmed that this is just the beginning. The studio is not only focusing on reworking the existing elements but also on new content, as a new leaked picture reveals that a terrifying new Automaton unit will join the faction soon.
Leaked Image Suggests That A New Automaton Unit Is Coming To Helldivers 2
The Automaton Assault Walker is bigger than most Automaton units (Image via IronS1ghts on Reddit) Reddit user IronS1ghts, who has shared various Helldivers 2 leaked images in the past, has shared another leaked image on the r/HellDiversLeaks subreddit. The leaker has revealed that a new unit called Automaton Assault Walker is coming to the game and will fill the gap between heavy and super-heavy units.

This unit is expected to be an Impaler equivalent, and fans suspect that it is equipped with a railgun. In terms of size, this unit is bigger than a Scout Strider and smaller than a Factory Strider. Fighting the Automaton faction is already difficult for many players and if this unit joins the faction, things will get much more chaotic.
Arrowhead Game Studios’ Plan To Save Helldivers 2 Is Working
Helldivers 2 lost a major chunk of its fanbase (Image via Arrowhead Game Studios) The latest patch for Helldivers 2, 01.001.100, is exactly what the community wanted. For the past few months, the hype for Helldivers 2 has been declining at an alarming rate. Players started to criticize the game because Arrowhead nerfed various weapons and Stratagems. The game became boring and repetitive, forcing many players to uninstall the game.

On top of this, Arrowhead and Sony’s plan to impose the PSN account linking policy completely backfired. As a result, the game was bombarded with negative reviews on Steam, however, the reviews are now looking positive.
The Escalation of Freedom update was the turning point for Arrowhead as they realized they had been focusing on the wrong elements all this time. The studio decided to come up with a 60-day plan to fix the game using players’ feedback and so far, things are looking good.
The recent patch was enough to convince many players to return to the game but that’s not everything. Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead’s CCO, recently confirmed that they will buff other items in the future patches as well.

    11. Rumors about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 have been swirling around for the past couple of years, which is quite understandable considering the fact that the company’s unique original hybrid console debuted way back in 2018. Even upon its debut, Switch was supposed to be a complete generation behind PlayStation 5 and Xbox, so gamers have been waiting for hardware overhaul.
The upcoming Switch successor will feature 256 GB of storage. (Image via Nintendo) In the last couple of months, we’ve seen a number of Switch 2 leaks cropping up online. So far, the upcoming handheld looks to be promising, but its storage options have concerned many gamers. However, unlike PlayStation 5, less storage won’t be an issue for Switch 2 due to Nintendo’s clever strategy.
Nintendo Switch 2’s Low Storage is Perfect For the Handheld
Switch 2’s low storage won’t be a problem like that of PlayStation 5. (Image via Nintendo) Switch 2’s design and specs were recently leaked on GamingLeaksandRumors on Reddit. According to the reports, the upcoming handheld will feature 12 GB of RAM at 75000 MT/s speeds. What’s interesting is that the console’s storage will be limited to 256 GB.

Usually, this would be a concern for consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox. In recent years, we’ve seen games getting bigger and bigger for a number of reasons, which proves to be troublesome for gamers who are using the base version of the consoles.
However, it’s an entirely different case for the upcoming Switch console. The low storage works perfectly due to the fact that Nintendo games aren’t that demanding. As proven with the original Switch, the company does an incredible job at optimizing its first-party titles since they are pretty small when it comes to file sizes.
256 GB of storage on a base PlayStation 5 would limit you to two or three AAA games. However, for that much storage on Switch 2, you could probably download 10-15 games that will completely blow you away. You won’t have to worry about running out of space with this one.
When is The Next Switch Handheld Coming Out?

(Image via The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo) Now that Switch’s successor is all but confirmed, gamers are left wondering when the console might drop, and it looks like it is going to be a long while before the console hits the shelves.

According to Eurogamer, several Nintendo developers have revealed that the Switch successor can’t be expected to debut this financial year. This clears some of the recent rumors that suggest that the console will be announced in the summer before getting shipped closer to the holiday season.
Based on these comments, we can expect that the earliest the Switch successor could debut is in April 2025, but whether or not that’s the case remains to be seen.
If the company follows the trajectory it set for the previous console’s announcement, there’s a good chance that the Switch 2 could be revealed in late 2024 before confirming a mid-2025 release date for next year. The current version of the console was announced back in October 2016 before releasing in March 2017.
With that said, are you excited about the next generation of Switch consoles? If so, let us know in the comments below.
