The 8BitDo 64 Controller is a wireless Bluetooth gamepad that sports all the buttons you’d expect from a device designed to play N64 games but reorganized into a contemporary form factor that resembles 8BitDo’s excellent Ultimate controller.

The controller’s analog stick sits on the left of the device and uses anti-drift Hall Effect sensors, while the B, A, and four C buttons are situated on the right side of the controller. There’s also a start button, D-pad, and Z shoulder buttons, as well as a few additional buttons. While the joystick and buttons are all engineered to be more durable and sturdy, they still match the size and shape of the original controller’s inputs.

The 8BitDo 64 Controller supports Bluetooth wireless and wired USB-C connections. It’s compatible with Analogue 3D, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android. It’s available to preorder in white or black.

The 8BitDo 64 Controller will feature D-Input and S-Input modes, and will support Analogue 3D, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android devices. It will also work with 8BitDo’s Ultimate Software on PC, and have vibration support on Switch and Analogue 3D.

It’s available in two colors: white or black. At the the time of writing, Amazon was only taking preorders for the white controller, but the black model should be available soon.

According to Amazon’s listing, the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth Controller releases March 19, 2025.
