How To Level Up Quickly

How To Level Up Quickly

Elden Ring is undoubtedly one of the best games of all time. This game is challenging, but it is too exciting to leave it without completing the story. The more you progress, the more you will access new areas, fight powerful bosses, and gather advanced items and weapons.

The key part of this process is leveling up in the game. You must level up your Tarnished to wield high-level weapons or fight late-game enemies.

In this game, leveling up requires runes. A lot of in-game activities provide players with runes, but if you are not sure about them, you may miss out on multiple chances. So, if you are curious about how to level up quickly in Elden Ring, below we have registered all the possible methods.

Clear Out Dungeons

In Elden Ring, clearing out dungeons will give a decent amount of runes every time.

Once you start progressing through the game, you will soon understand that The Lands Between has multiple dungeons to explore and clear out. Some of these are mandatory to progress through the main story, while others can easily be ignored.

If you want to farm runes, you shouldn’t ignore the optional dungeons. Clearing out a dungeon gives loads of runes. Just make sure you have rested at a Site of Grace outside, so you can save your game before going inside to clear the dungeon. Clearing dungeons is the best way to farm runes faster in the game.

Clear Out the Windmill Village

Dominula, Windmill Village will help you a lot if you want to farm runes faster in Elden Ring.

Of course, in Elden Ring, clearing dungeons provides players with the most runes, but there are more ways to gather these in-game items to level up faster. Among these, clearing out Dominula, Windmill Village is one of the easiest.

Tip

Remember this is not an early game method because Dominula, Windmill Village is located in Altus Plateau that can only be accessed using the Grand Lift of Dectus.

To make your way to the village, you must make your way to the Altus Plateau, which is a mandatory region to visit. From the Outer Wall Battleground Site of Grace, make your way north to enter this village.

This village has aggressive residents that you need to kill to get runes. When there’s no way to unaggro these triggered NPCs, you must take them down. If you clear the village entirely, you can even receive up to 6,000 runes.

Deal with the Bosses in Elden Ring

Elden Ring has numerous bosses that drop a substantial amount of XP upon defeat.

Fighting enemies is the best way to farm runes and level up faster. In Elden Ring, this is the most convenient way to level up, as the game has uncountable enemies to take down, including all the optional and mandatory bosses. Notably, each of these boss fights rewards players with a significant number of runes.

Therefore, we would suggest not to get scared and roam freely throughout the map to take down every boss you face, even if they are optional enemies and can be skipped easily.

However, here you should note that there are a few optional bosses like Dragonkin Soldiers that don’t reward runes after getting killed. Anyway, if you are in the early stages of the game, fight easily bosses.

Look for Vulgar Militiamen

Take the Vulgar Militiamen down to earn runes in the game.

If you are in an early stage of the game and are looking for a lot of runes to level up faster for a specific boss fight, you must make your way to Caelid. This location can be accessed comparatively early, though the recommended level to enter this region is above 60.

Once there, make your way to the northeast section of the region, and you will meet a group of Vulgar Militiamen. This is a group of 10 enemies, and taking them down will reward you a decent amount of runes. For example, each kill will give around 1000 runes.

Tip

If you decide to fight these enemies, take them one-by-one and use ranged attacks to get less damage.

We would suggest using sneak attacks. If you can take all of them down, it will resolve a lot of issues and level up your Tarnished instantly.

Don’t Miss Out On White Mask Varre’s Questline

The field of Albinaurics is one of the finest ways to earn runes in Elden Ring.

Among all the other ways to farm runes and level up faster in Elden Ring, this one is one of the most convenient. This method has earned a huge popularity among the community players, though the method is easily missable.

To begin with it, make your way to the Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. This is located close to the Mohgwyn Palace. Once there, you will find a crow flying around the lake. Use a bow and arrow to hit it. With one hit, it will fall off and give players a whopping 11,000 runes.

The next one that you will find if you progress through this quest line is the field of Albinaurics. Once there, you will find a plethora of sleeping Albinauric enemies along with some other patrolling enemies to take down and farm runes to level up quickly.

Acquire the Gold Scarab Talisman

Check out the Gold Scarab Talisman’s stats in the game.

If you are looking for a good way to get more runes from the activities, you need a multiplier. Like almost every game, Elden Ring also has a multiplier, and that’s the Gold Scarab Talisman. Anyway, this is a late-game item, and players need to make their way to Caelid to acquire this item.

Once you are in Caelid, you have to make your way to the Smoldering Wall Site of Grace, and from there, you have to go to the Abandoned Cave. There’s a boss fight to complete, and you will get the Golden Scarab Talisman.

Equipping this item will help players save a significant amount of grinding time, as this talisman will allow you to get 20% more runes from the activities.

Witness Enemy Fights Without Participating

Watching other enemies fight also gives players runes. So, there’s no need to fight to earn them.

Another very peculiar way to earn runes is to watch enemy fights in the Elden Ring. If you are tired of fighting enemies but need runes for more upgrades, this can be a convenient way you can check out. The process is simple. Stay at a safe distance and watch enemies slaying each other. You will eventually realize you are earning runes.

A lot of opportunities you will get where you can turn your weapon down and watch enemies fighting among themselves. Make sure they don’t notice you, or you have to slay them.

These are the best ways to level up quickly in Elden Ring. Though there are a few more ways to earn runes, like backstabbing certain enemies or killing sleeping dragons, etc., the above-mentioned methods are the best.

Which, according to you, is the best method to gather runes in the game? Don’t forget to share your thoughts!
