Telethon 2024: Winner of Hyundai car giveaway reveals heartbreaking story about baby’s tragic death

The winner of Sunday night’s car giveaway revealed she tragically lost her baby and couldn’t thank Telethon enough for what it has done for sick kids in WA.

Australind resident Teagan was sitting on her couch watching Telethon when she received a call from Rove McManus informing her she had won the new Hyundai vehicle.

When McManus asked her why she donated to Telethon, Teagan shared the devasting story about her baby’s passing.

“Telethon means so much to our family, our first little boy Nash, he lived at PCH for the first five months of his life and he passed away in February 2020 from a heart condition.

“Telethon is everything . . . it’s very close to our heart.

Just after the giveaway, Roger Cook joined Ryan Daniels to present an eye-watering $13 million donation from the WA Government.

The generous donation boosted the total to more than $77.5 million, a record-breaking amount for Telethon.
