The game is speculated to be set a few years in the future. The upcoming Call of Duty 2025 will be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 with enhanced graphics, gameplay, and remastered as well as new maps.

However, not much about the game has been revealed as of now, and these are mere speculations. Nevertheless, there is still a high probability that these speculations might just be true. The game will be set in 2030 following Black Ops 2, which is set in 2025. You might see a lot of familiar faces make their way back into the game to make you feel a touch of nostalgia.

The game might come with completely new maps alongside some of the remastered maps from Black Ops 2, much like Modern Warfare 3, which included maps from the previous games well. However, Call of Duty 2025 has more time in hand for development as opposed to Modern Warfare 3’s rapid 16-month development time.

Black Ops 2 is, till date, the most successful game from the franchise. The game has managed to sell 30 million units since launch. The upcoming game, which is a direct sequel to it, is sure to bank on the feeling of nostalgia to lure more people in.

The game is currently under development, and no release date has been officially announced. However, the game has still managed to get a lot of attention prior to any official announcements.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the trailer release of the game. Everybody wants to see Call of Duty dive back into a futuristic setting, which has proved to be quite beneficial in the past.
