Ram Trucks Australia runs out legendary Hemi V8

Ram Trucks Australia is running out the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine, ending 73 years of tradition that started with race cars and high-end muscle machines.

The move is in line with North American production, which has already replaced the V8 Hemi in the 2025 Ram 1500 range with a choice of 3.0-litre Hurricane and 3.0-litre Hurricane High Output straight-six turbo engines that it says are “more powerful” and “more fuel-efficient” as it introduces all-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains in line with the company’s strategy to cut CO2 emissions.
