Elden Ring: How To Unaggro NPCs

Do you want to know how to unaggro NPCs in Elden Ring? If the answer is yes, then you’re in the right place. NPCs are critical in Elden Ring and serve as tools to give you the best and most realistic experience. Here, they make sure you don’t feel isolated.

NPCs are common in Elden Ring, and players have the freedom to attack them. In some cases, things can get out of control, leading to you hurting them. Attacking friendly NPCs will cause them to become hostile and eventually attack you.

To reset the NPCs you attacked in Elden Ring, you must seek absolution at a holy church.

NPCs are more important in Elden Ring than in other games. This is because these characters help you build a network of connections and knowledge in this massive RPG. While some may seem completely useless, others are quest givers, and some even help you progress by selling items like equipment and spells.

Whatever your goal, there is a way to make NPCs friendly again, unless you kill them, of course. NPCs you kill will stay dead for the rest of the game, no matter what you do, and they won’t come back. However, there is still a way to make amends with the ones you didn’t kill.

Church of Vows is located in Eastern Liurnia.

While Elden Ring does offer the ability to make up for your mistakes, it never promised that it would be easy. You’ll need to put in some effort to make NPCs you’ve attacked friendly again.

To reset the NPCs you’ve attacked, you need to be forgiven. To do this, you must first visit a holy place called the Church of Vows. It’s located in Eastern Liurnia, and players can reach it by heading northwest from Liurnia of the Lakes (Artist’s Shack).

Tip

If you are looking for an alternative route to the Church of Vows, you can use a Waygate (teleporter) in Raya Lucaria Academy to get there.

Before you can reach the church, you will need an item called Celestial Dew to reset the NPCs you’ve attacked. You can purchase this item from vendors like the Hermit Merchant or collect it on corpses you encounter in places like Uhl Palace Ruins, Night’s Sacred Ground, and Night’s Sacred Ground.

Once you have your Celestial Dew, head to the Church of Vows without wasting time. When you arrive, you’ll see a statue in front of you. Interact with it and use your Celestial Dew to begin your absolution.

If everything goes well, you’ll see the message “Your sins are absolved” on the screen. This means the absolution was successful, and the unaggro process is complete. You can now return to the location of the NPC you attacked and see that they are no longer hostile.
