The Witcher Is Getting A Comics Collection For Parents To Read To Their Kids

Almost everything connected to The Witcher reflects the dark fantasy and mature themes of that series, but for anyone looking for a more lighthearted adventure starring Geralt of Rivia, this new book looks delightful. Putting a Witcher twist on family life, The Little Witcher is a collection of comics featuring Geralt as your average monster-slaying dad. The Little Witcher will be published by Random House Worlds on May 13, 2025, and is available to preorder at Amazon for $16.

Between slaying deadly beasts and taking on dangerous contracts, he’s also trying to raise young Ciri and teach her what it means to be a witcher. “Young Ciri’s extensive training at Kaer Morhen, the witchers’ stronghold, includes everything she needs to learn to survive the many threats in her world –as well as all the antics and fun of a little girl bonding with her adoptive dad and family,” the official synopsis reads.

“With help from Geralt and Ciri’s closest companions–including the motherly magic of Yennefer of Vengerberg and the wisdom of uncle Vesemir–these adorable tales of a non-traditional family will make you laugh, make you sigh, and make you realize that raising a Little Witcher is not that different from raising any other kid.”

The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2

While it will be a bit of a wait to get The Little Witcher–reminder, you’ll only be charged when it ships, not when you preorder it–you can grab plenty of other Witcher comics right now. To be clear, the other Witcher comics are not for youngsters, but several of these are eligible for Amazon’s buy two, get one free sale (ends October 12), so you can score a freebie along the way if you’re in the mood to fill up your personal library. If you prefer the games to the original books, there are some easy recommendations here like the omnibus editions that give you a lot of Witcher bang for your buck.

Other volumes like Wild Animals and Corvo Bianco pit Geralt against new sinister forces, and these graphic novels feature top-notch talent in the art department that helps bring his adventures to life. We’ve also listed several of the graphic novels based on the books below, as well as book box sets in case you’d like to fill in some gaps in your literary collection.

Lastly, you can check out a few Cyberpunk graphic novels as well, since there is that CD Projekt link between this sci-fi franchise and The Witcher. The Cyberpunk 2077 Library Edition is a particularly good option, as you’re getting three hardcover graphic novels at an excellent price. You could pair Cyberpunk 2077 Library Edition with The Witcher Library Edition–both are B2G1 free–to get two handsome hardcovers featuring CD Projekt Red’s two biggest properties. For your freebie, you could get The Witcher Stories Box Set, a two-book collection that kicks off Andrzej Sapkowski’s original series.
