Cold Chisel Swan Valley concert: Perth, Mandurah locals urged to take bus to show to prevent traffic chaos

Cold Chisel fans planning to make the journey to the Swan Valley for the band’s highly-anticipated concert are being urged to take a shuttle bus after traffic jams caused some to miss the start of Robbie Williams’ show last year.

West Aussies will descend on the area next weekend when Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Don Walker and Phil Small take to the stage at the award-winning Sandalford Winery for their Big Five-0 tour.

The concert will be the first in the Swan Valley since Robbie Williams’ concert caused a traffic gridlock that resulted in some people missing the show.

However, Sandalford Wines CEO Grant Brinklow is confident his winery’s traffic management will allow for a smooth journey to and from the venue.

“We have three routes in and out so GA guests, VIP and ride-share and busses all have separate access,” Mr Brinklow said.

“At our previous Red Hot Summer Tour concerts, our venue is cleared within an hour so ticket-holders attending Sandalford gigs can be confident the two upcoming Big FIVE-O Cold Chisel events will be handled with the same success.”

Perth and Mandurah locals can purchase return BusWest tickets for $30.57 per person and each bus will depart 20 minutes after the shows on October 19 and 20.

“There are plenty of bus tickets available at all stops in Perth and Peel and these will be sold from Ticketmaster.com until 3pm on Friday 18 October and then from BusWest’s office on both Saturday and Sunday,” Mr Grant said.

“It really is the easiest, fastest and best way to enjoy a concert out at Sandalford Wines Swan Valley.

“Pre-booking your shuttle means you can forget the drive and focus on the experience.”
