The game is full of dark areas, which makes it a hassle and a pain to navigate.

Players have a few options in navigating the town of Silent Hill without a flashlight: they can deal with a handful of enemies and have a fast-paced playthrough or choose to take it easy and approach the building where the flashlight is located.

The flashlight is hidden on the second floor of the Woodside Apartments. Upon entering the apartment complex, each floor has a map, and players must make do with the limited light source. Making their way up to Apartment 202, players will hear some noise from inside luring them in.
