This blade lets you feel like a powerful sorcerer-samurai hybrid.

The Meteoric Ore Blade is a powerful katana in Elden Ring that scales off of strength, dexterity, and intelligence. If you want to mix melee combat with magic damage while going for a samurai look, this is the blade for you.

It comes with the unique Ash of War Gravitas. Using it will cause you to thrust the katana into the ground and create a gravity well that pulls enemies toward you while dealing damage at the same time.

It’s an excellent ability to punish crowds of enemies, especially if they’re all striking at different times or constantly go just out of range of your attacks.

While the blade can’t be infused with Ashes of War or enchanted with magic, it more than makes up for this limitation with its sheer power and gravity-based abilities.

The Meteoric Ore Blade can be upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones, meaning it requires a lot fewer resources to the max.

The standard base level Meteoric Ore Blade starts at 112 physical damage and 72 magic damage, while its +10 version has a whopping 274 physical damage and 176 magic damage.

The Meteoric Ore Blade location is close to the Caelid North Highway Site of Grace.

You don’t need to fight any bosses to get the Meteoric Ore Blade, but you do need to traverse deep into Caelid, which can feel an area filled with boss-like enemies everywhere.

If you don’t have access to Caelid yet, the easiest way is by using the transporter snare chest located in an underground cellar in Limgrave’s Dragon-Burnt Ruins. This is the same overarching area where you can obtain the basic Twinblade.

This chest will take you to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel which you can exit to end up in the middle of Caelid. If you’ve already got Caelid access, head straight to the ‘Caelid North Highway’ Site of Grace, which is the closest to the area we want to get to.

Directly west of the Site of Grace, you might spot some yellow ruin-like markings on the map on the other side of the road. These are called the Caelid Waypoint Ruins. You can check the picture above for an exact location.

Head straight there, and once the area title card comes up, you’ll see some spots to descend in elevation. Do that twice and you’ll see an underground cellar entrance being guarded by a Kindred of Rot enemy.

Fight or ignore it (make sure to wear some sturdy Elden Ring armor to tank its missile attacks) and go into the cellar.

Tip

You can’t enter the cellar with Torrent, but dismounting near the pest will give you enough iframes to avoid most of its hits.

You just need to run to the back of the room and open the door to access the chest with the Meteoric Ore Blade inside.

However, there are a ton of enemies that will spit poison at you in here, so you can clear the room carefully to make this easier. Or, use Elden Ring items that can mitigate poison buildup to make sure you survive the encounter, especially at lower levels. After that, the weapon is yours to claim!

That’s the end of this guide. We have a ton of other Elden Ring guides on a variety of subjects, and if there’s one in particular you’d like covered, let us know in the comments below!
