Interstate 10 vehicle fire backs up westbound traffic to Escambia Bay Bridge

Lanes on Interstate 10 in Escambia County are backed up after a crash resulted in a vehicle fire, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

FDOT says a vehicle fire, that began around 2:50 p.m. on I-10 heading eastbound near mile marker 14, has caused two lanes of traffic to back up to the Escambia County Bay Bridge.

The News Journal reached out to Florida Highway Patrol for more information but did not immediately receive a response.

(This is a developing story. Check back later for more details.)
