How To Get the Twinblade

How To Get the Twinblade

The Twinblade in Elden Ring is perfect for those who want fast, sweeping attacks that cover a lot of ground. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get the Twinblade and how exactly it works.

Its double-edged design makes it one of the most visually intriguing Elden Ring weapons to use. Combine that with its flashy combos and spinning slashes, and it’ll make you feel like an absolute combat master.

If any of these sentences sound interesting to you, it’s worth getting to try it out yourself, especially since you can grab it as early as the start of the game!

Never get ganked again with this fast crowd-control weapon.

The Twinblade is one of those Elden Ring weapons that you can’t help but use at least a few times because of how smoothly it performs in combat.

This double-edged sword scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and has fairly low stat requirements, needing only 10 Strength and 18 Dexterity to equip.

One of its best facets is its ability to perform spinning attacks, which cover a wide area. You’re getting the ability to hit multiple enemies in quick succession. You can technically use it with one hand, but it works best when double-handing as it gains more speed and does increased damage.

The weapon skill for the Twinblade is ‘Spinning Slash’, a move that unleashes a flurry of quick strikes in a 360-degree range. You can also infuse it with any Ash of War you want and buff it via magic or consumables, giving it an incredible damage ceiling.

As a standard Twinblade, it only needs Smithing Stones to level. It starts at 119 physical attack and at +25, caps at 291 physical attack.

Because of how many attacks it performs in succession, infusing it with Bleed and pairing it with the Winged Sword Insignia and Lord of Blood’s Exhultation is more than enough to melt every enemy that has the misfortune of crossing you—even those you’ll meet in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Keep an eye out in Dragon-Burnt Ruins for this weapon’s location.

Now that you’re sold on this weapon, here’s how to get it. The Twinblade location is easy to get to even if you’re an RL1 Wretch, so long as you have Torrent to hop around on.

This weapon is located inside a chest in an underground cellar located in Dragon-Burnt Ruins. These ruins are big enough to be seen on the map in-game; note the collection of broken buildings near the center of Agheel Lake.

Once you get to the location, you might see a pair of stairs leading to an underground cellar that’s out in the open. This is not the correct cellar: If you see a bunch of rats running around the room, head back out.

Tip

The cellar’s chest is a trap that will take you to an extremely difficult part of the game if you’re just starting out, so beware.

Instead, head toward the southeast part of the ruins. There is a small area that is completely walled off from the outside and can only be entered by jumping over the wall with Torrent. This is the area with the underground cellar entrance we’re looking for.

The cellar should be empty when you enter it. The chest here contains the weapon you’ve been looking for. Now that you have the Twinblade, you’re ready to take on the dangers that the rest of the game throws at you!

In fact, slash your way through the enemies in these runes and explore them thoroughly to pick up a few Elden Ring items like Golden Runes [1] and [2] which you can use to buy some good Elden Ring armor.

With that, we’ve reached the end of another one of our Elden Ring guides. If you’d like to see us cover more aspects of the game, feel free to give us a shout in the comments below about what you’d like help with!
