State planners have sent developers of what could be WA’s first pod hotel back to the drawing board after locals raised concerns the packed accommodation would create “schoolies on tap” in Fremantle.

Accommodation chain LyLo has lodged a bid for an $8 million short-stay hotel targeting tourists and backpackers in the heart of the port city on Essex Street.
