Less than two years after opening its first Louisville location, LaRosa’s Pizzeria has closed.

A Google search for LaRosa’s, 10641 Fischer Park Drive, shows it is “permanently closed” and the location has been removed from the company website.

“As of the end of business yesterday (9/29/24), our Louisville-Springhurst Pizzeria is closed,” the company said Monday in response to a message sent on Facebook.

The location appeared to inform customers of the closure via email, according to screen-shots of the message shared Monday on social media.

“Thank you for your support. We made many great friends in Louisville who welcomed us and made us feel a part of the community,” the message read. “In the end, sales just didn’t meet our expectations.”

The message thanked the pizzeria’s staff “who did their best to make our Louisville pizzeria successful.”

The franchise, which is celebrating 70 years in business, has several locations in North Kentucky, the Cincinnati area, and across Ohio.

LaRosa’s offers more than 40 menu selections, including pizza, calzones, chicken wings, hoagies and pasta dishes.
