Remnant 2 Has Some of the Most Horrific Weapon Designs Around, and We Need More

It has only been a few days since the third and final DLC, The Dark Horizon, has been released on Remnant 2, but it has already garnered a reasonable amount of attention.

One of the most important parts about Remnant 2 is its weapons, and there are plenty of weapons to collect in Remnant 2, which all have unique styles and abilities.

However, there is one part of these weapons that makes them stand out amongst the rest, and this is the horror-based design that many of the later games have, as well as the sci-fi weapons that players can acquire that work together to create incredible designs.

Remnant 2 has some of the best weapon designs of recent date.

One of the best parts of Remnant 2 is the fact that it fits into numerous genres at one time, allowing it to have numerous different weapons set within different genres, creating a unique atmosphere.

Within Remnant 2, players can explore numerous worlds that each have their own atmosphere, bosses, and even puzzles, which provide the opportunity to gather different weapons.

Whether it be the forest world of Yaesha, the Resident Evil Village style of Losomn, the futuristic planet-sized ship N’Erud, and finally the utterly confusing and mysterious maze like Labyrinth.

There are plenty of weapons that players can find if they are willing to look around and explore each world as much as they can, and even on multiple runs, as not every boss will appear in one run.

Bosses hold the best weapons for players.

As stated above, there are plenty of different ways to acquire weapons, whether you purchase them, find them, or craft them from boss resources, but when it comes to finding some of the more unique weapons, then bosses are your best bet.

As well as being some of the best-looking weapons in the game, boss weapons are also the most powerful, as they tend to have locked abilities set to them, which allow players to create unique builds that tend to do a large amount of damage.

For example, one of the weapons players can acquire from a boss is the Cube Gun, which is a weapon that can be acquired after defeating the Labyrinth Sentinel, which is one of the games more interesting bosses.

This weapon can be quite useful for players as it can be used to shoot literal cubes at their enemies, which return once making contact or reaching a certain range, while also having infinite ammo as long as the bullets return in a quick manner.

Due to these limitations, this weapon may not be very useful at long range, but with its interesting design of pulsating cubes that are the actual bullets, it can provide a relatively confusing style for players to enjoy.

Another weapon that players can acquire after killing a boss is the Merciless, which is one of the more creepy weapons, especially after realising how you unlock it.

To earn this weapon, players have to make a relatively worthy sacrifice within the world of Yaesha as they battle the Corrupted Ravager boss. During this boss fight, a Doe will appear in the battle arena, and it will be hunted by the Corrupted Ravager. If you are looking to earn this weapon, do not shoot the Doe, but sadly it must die.

Throughout the boss fight, the Corrupted Ravager will eventually feed on said Doe allowing players to finally earn the crafting material required to create the Merciless long gun, which has a rather grim art style as it is covered in red details and moving eyes down the barrel.

Another unique weapon that players can earn after defeating a boss is the Godsplitter, which is one of the most beautifully looking designs I have seen in the game.

This weapon is a sword that looks eerily similar to the Infinity Blade from the mobile game Infinity Blade, but it does have its minor differences that make it stand out in Remnant 2.

To earn this weapon, players need to defeat one of two story bosses, and the reason I say one of two is because these two bosses are essentially alternate versions of one another.

There are many secrets in Remnant 2 that lead to weapons.

So far, The Dark Horizon DLC has only been released a few days, so we do not know what weapons are hidden in its many paths, but from what we can see in the trailer, there are plenty of unique designs that will be coming to the game.

Sadly, they are very unlikely to stand out as much as these other weapons do in terms of style and design, but their abilities and damage will most likely lead players to try out these new weapons instead of sticking with their traditional weapons.

Since this update focuses more on the futuristic sci-fi setting, we are more likely going to see more technologically advanced weapons that have a more metallic style, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t be unique in their own ways.

What do you think about the weapon designs in Remnant 2? Would you like to see more of these designs in the future? Let us know in the comments what you think!
