Brisbane coach Chris Fagan promised veteran Dayne Zorko that he’d be called onto stage to hold up the premiership cup when he handed over the captaincy last year.

Fagan delayed the presentation of the premiership cup to co-captains Lachie Neale and Harris Andrews so he could bring Zorko onto the podium to be part of the historic moment. The star defender spent five seasons as captain and played a key role in lifting the club back up the ladder.
