Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links celebrates its eighth anniversary with premium cards, gems and more

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is celebrating its eight year anniversary with a bevy of rewards
  • Whether that be new cards, gems and others, log-in for free goodies!
  • Celebrate as well with new daily log-in rewards through the event, starting January 12th

Yu-Gi-Oh fans who have found themselves at a loose end over the holidays, with few tournaments or other activities taking place, have most likely been idling away the hours with one of the hit card battler’s many mobile releases. And Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is one of the most enduring, as it’s set to celebrate its 8th anniversary in style with a suite of rewards.

Starting January 12th, you’ll be able to nab some top rewards simply by logging in. Rewards such as: A Chronicle Card Ticket for Ace Monster (Chronicle), an Ultra Prismatic Rainbow Neos (SPEED) and Prismatic Pot of Greed (RUSH). That’s on top of 1000 Gems, exclusive 8th-anniversary accessories, a Skill Ticket and a Character Unlock Ticket.

The best part? That’s not even all of it! You’ll also have daily log-in bonuses to benefit from, starting with day one and a free, Prismatic UR/SR Ticket (SPEED), then ending with Surface Processing: Aurora day ten! Yes, if you’re a Yu-Gi-Oh fan this is sure to be an exciting anniversary.

Now look, I barely understand Yu-Gi-Oh (despite having two friends who play it incessantly) but I’d hazard a guess that these are welcome rewards for many players. Still, it’s a shame there’s not a special event for an eighth-anniversary celebration, but it’s a milestone worth marking regardless as Yu-Gi-Oh stands tall as one of arguably the biggest card battlers out there no matter the platform. It’s in stark contrast to the usually dominant Pokémon which only revealed its mobile TCG version last year.
