The Omens of Tyranny update successfully revived Helldivers 2‘s hype, all thanks to the introduction of the game’s third enemy faction, the Illuminate. A lot of fresh content, such as new weapons, armors, and Stratagems, was added as a part of the update. However, Arrowhead Game Studios still needs to add some new objectives to the game.

A Helldivers 2 player on Reddit has shared a very unique secondary objective concept that would also buff up Mechs in the game. Currently, Mechs have limited ammo and can only be used twice in a mission, making them quite weak, especially when they are compared to the latest Fast Recon Vehicle, which has no limit.

A Helldivers 2 player has shared a secondary mission idea that would add more mission variety to the game and at the same time, aid Helldivers on the battlefield. The player proposed a Mech maintenance base, a secondary objective that players can see at the start of the mission. This Mech maintenance base would allow players to rearm and repair the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit and EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit.

Similar to the “Activate a SEAF SAM Site missions,” this would also be an optional objective that would support players during their missions. This base could be located away from other objectives in order to make the game balanced as keeping the base too close to primary objectives would make the Mechs quite overpowered because players will be able to rearm them quickly.

Players are hoping that Arrowhead Game Studios would overhaul the existing Mechs or introduce a new, powerful Mech. These units are great, however, the enemy is getting stronger, and it is slowly getting difficult for the Mechs to keep up.

Recently, Sephez, an Arrowhead Game Studios developer, revealed on the game’s official Discord that the studio has “something in the oven” for mechs but it’s “nothing too crazy.” Many believe that the Mechs will be getting a Stratagem Launcher since many players have complained about how difficult it is to get out of the mech to call in another Stratagem.

The Helldivers 2 community has also suggested some wild and unique ideas that would make Mechs much stronger. The Emancipator Exosuit comes with two twin autocannons while the Patriot Exosuit has fourteen rockets and a mini-gun capable of holding a thousand rounds of ammunition.

Players currently can’t change this, but the community wants the Mechs to have detachable arms that can be replaced with different kinds of arms such as claws, rocket launchers, shields, etc. This will allow players to have a customizable Mech loadout that would make this Stratagem much more powerful.
