A teenager who allegedly chased a group of youths through a Mandurah shopping centre with a fake gun sparking fear among shoppers is expected to front court over the matter next month.

Dozens of scared shoppers were forced to flee for their safety with some hiding in changerooms during the incident at Mandurah Forum on Friday afternoon.
