Kalbarri rescue: Search underway after boat capsize off Lucky Bay throws four people into the water

An urgent search is underway for two people after a boat capsized offshore in the Mid West, sending four people into the water.

About 7.10am on Saturday police received reports that a 3.7m vessel had overturned about 2km offshore from Kalbarri, near Lucky Bay.

Two people managed to swim ashore and Kalbarri Marine Rescue have spotted the remaining two in the water.

Water police are coordinating a marine search involving Marine Rescue WA and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.
