A flipped car slowed traffic on southbound Highway 101 outside of San Luis Obispo on Friday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 2:29 p.m. just south of Reservoir Canyon in the area of Fox Hollow Road, according to CHP’s traffic incident report page.

As of 2:47 p.m., the driver had been removed from the vehicle that was resting on its roof, according to the CHP page. The incident was listed as a crash with minor injuries.

In a post on X, CHP SLO told southbound drivers to “expect major delays.”

According to Caltrans’s QuickMap, southbound traffic was backed up from the crash to partway up the Cuesta Grade as of 3 p.m.

Traffic was also moving slowly on northbound Highway 101 from the Monterey Street off-ramp to the scene of the crash, according to the QuickMap.
