Prominent physician dead following crash in Wyoming County

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A prominent physician is dead following a crash in Wyoming County on Tuesday, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Police responded to the intersection of Wethersfield Road and Hermitage Road in the Town of Wethersfield just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, where an investigation showed that 80-year-old Dr. Richard Milazzo, Jr. of Silver Creek was t-boned by a right-of-way tow truck while driving westbound on Wethersfield. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to General Physician PC, Dr. Milazzo was a prominent physician in Dunkirk for decades and was affiliated with the Brooks-TLC Hospital System.

No charges have been filed at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
