Mining approvals in WA remain stubbornly slow, according to the latest State Government analysis, stoking fears about the prospect of more bureaucracy.

The annual report produced by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety detailed a 298-day approval timeframe for the average WA mining project to get through State-level regulatory hurdles.
