Moment Falling Plank Almost Hits Commuters at Station

Some commuters at Boston’s South Station had a near miss with a falling plank on November 8, with the dramatic incident caught on surveillance video.

Footage released by the MBTA shows the moment the falling plank almost hit people heading into the station.

The Boston Inspectional Services Department told local media that “rigging gear” fell from One Financial, a skyscraper across the street from South Station.
