Using the founding era as a prequel also removes the risk of Hogwarts Legacy 2 overlapping with existing Harry Potter projects. By focusing on Hogwarts’ early days, the game can maintain a sense of authenticity without feeling familiar and do something new instead of rehashing the familiar plotlines of Harry’s era.
