New York Times Connections Hints Today, Oct. 24th, #501

If you are looking for The New York Times Connections hints today for October 24, you have come to the right place. Connections may seem simple on the surface and much easier than what the NYT did with Wordle, but players who have actually checked it out know that is just not the case.

Despite having all of the words available, arranging them in different categories can prove to be quite challenging.

For the uninitiated, Connections is an online word game by NYT that provides the player with 16 different words, which may not seem like they are connected to one another at first glance, but they have more in common than one might think.

The objective is to divide the words into groups of four, with each group focusing on a specific theme. In case you are having a hard time with today’s Connections puzzle, we have prepared some hints to help you out for Thursday, October 24.

Of course, we have also revealed all of the answers for today’s Connections puzzle at the end, so if the hints are not helping either, you can simply just head down to the solutions and save yourself some headache to prepare for tomorrow’s challenge.

Some Connections puzzles can be quite tough to solve, so if the hints above have not really made things clear, today’s word groups should help simplify them even further:

  • Yellow: Lineup
  • Green: NYT Offerings
  • Blue: Things Made by Folding Paper
  • Purple: French Words

New York Times Connections Answers Today for October 24

If you have tried your best and still not succeeded, there is not any need to worry, as we have listed down the answers below to make today’s Connections puzzle a breeze to solve:

  • Lineup: Bill, Program, Schedule, Slate
  • NYT Offerings: Audio, Cooking, Games, News
  • Things Made by Folding Paper: Airplane, Crane, Fan, Fortune Teller
  • French Words: Adieu, Belle, Pain, Temps

Despite the Yellow category feeling quite straightforward when one actually looks at the four words that are included in it, terms like Bill, Program, and Slate could have easily been related with Cooking, News, and Games respectively in different contexts.

Similarly, realizing that The New York Times is being meta this time around and referring to itself for the Blue group could have been difficult for players, as on surface level, the four words do not exactly fit naturally with one another.

However, although Adieu and Belle are clearly French words, Pain is something that most definitely would have thrown many players off, as its translation “bread” is usually not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of such a hurtful word.

But that is what makes Connections such a fun game to play, as every day brings a new challenge for dedicated players to complete, so if you were not able to solve today’s puzzle, there is always tomorrow.

And if that gives you trouble as well, rest assured that we will have yet another guide waiting for you. However, if you did achieve success with today’s Connections puzzle, many congratulations!

While waiting and preparing for tomorrow’s puzzle, you can also go on a quick trip down memory lane and check out yesterday’s challenge again.

Which words were the most confusing for you in today’s Connections puzzle? Did you realize that Pain refers to an edible object and not the feeling that most of us try to avoid? Let us know in the comments!
